Caty and I have run on the edges of the same social circles for more than a decade, if memory serves! Almost as soon as I started photographing weddings back in 2010, Caty began telling me that I would photograph her wedding one day. I'm extremely appreciative of her belief in me in the early days of my business, to say nothing of her loyalty, given that she did indeed hire me to photograph her wedding quite a few years later! Caty is a professional artist, and her quirky, colorful aesthetic was visible in every aspect of their decor and attire! The Bingham House in McKinney, Texas was the perfect backdrop for their vibrant floral motif. Caty's blue hair and Will's matching blue accessories sure popped against its historic white walls too! I loved how well the colorful, floral cake by Sweet Art Bakery coordinated with the amaaaazing paper flower backdrop (and all the other paper flowers that took the place of traditional floral arrangements!) that Caty and her similarly artistic friends made together. Caty & Will were both a delight to work with, and their wedding day was every bit as much fun as it looks in photos! Caty had this to say about working with me:
